Privacy policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains what data the app «المُعين على حفظ متون الدين» (“Muin”, for iOS and Android) collects, where it is stored, and how you can delete it. The app is owned and operated by Faisal Omari — omaridesign.com.

  • Your voice during recitation is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded.
  • No ads, no tracking SDKs, no analytics, and we do not sell your data.
  • An account is optional: the app works as a guest and nothing is locked behind signing in.
  • You can delete your account and data from inside the app at any time.

1. Accounts

The app uses Firebase Authentication (by Google) to identify an account. On first launch an anonymous account is created for you automatically: a random identifier with no name or email. You may optionally link it to a Google or Apple account; we then receive what the provider allows: your name, email address and photo, if any. We never receive your password.

2. What we store

If you stay a guest (an anonymous account), your data stays on your device only and is not synced to our server.

If you sign in, we store the following on our server so it can sync between your devices:

This data is stored on Railway, in a Postgres database in EU West. If you send a feature suggestion from the app, we also store its text together with the app version and operating system.

3. Audio and recitation

Recitation audio is processed entirely on your device; it is never uploaded or stored on any server.

A future, opt-in setting may let you upload recitation audio to help improve the model. It is off by default and not active yet; it would only work with your explicit consent, and we will update this policy before enabling it.

4. Content and downloads

Texts, recordings and the recitation model are served from Cloudflare R2. When you download them, your app connects to our server and to Cloudflare; as with any internet connection, the server sees your IP address at the time of the request.

5. What we do not do

We may add crash reporting in the future. If we do, we will disclose it in this policy and in the app when it is enabled.

6. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your data on the server until you delete your account. You can delete it from inside the app: Account → Delete account. Your server data is removed immediately, followed by your Firebase account. Alternatively, email faisal@omaridesign.com to request deletion. Details are on the delete account page. A guest’s data on the device is removed by deleting the app, or through “Delete account”.

8. Service providers

Each processes data under its own terms and policy.

9. Changes, law and contact

We may update this policy; the date of the last update is shown at the top, and material changes are announced in the app. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Israel (the owner’s jurisdiction). For any question or request about your data: faisal@omaridesign.com.
